Responsibilities

As the school guidance counselor it is my responsibility to:

* Register and schedule new students
* Provide parents with current reports of grades and most recent report cards
* Provide parents and teachers all achievement, cognitive, or aptitude tests results
* Maintains a personal and academic file on every student
* Counsel tardy or absent students
* Counsel students with disciplinary problems
* Plan individual students' academic progress
* Provide small and group counseling services, per the needs of the students
* Advocate for students at disciplinary and academic reviews
* Collaborate with teachers and administration to identify issues, offer solutions, and
  alternatives
* Maintain Parent Portal to enhance communication with parents
