About Me

Hello! My name is Whitney Close, and I am so excited to be a part of the Boothville-Venice Elementary family! I have been an educator for 12 years, including six years teaching in Jefferson Parish, and I have proudly called Boothville-Venice Elementary home since 2020.

Teaching is truly my passion, and there is nothing I love more than helping my students discover new concepts, build confidence, and grow each day. I enjoy creating a classroom where students feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn. Watching their faces light up when they understand something new and seeing how much they grow throughout the year is one of the most rewarding parts of being a teacher.

I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to teach, encourage, and make a difference in the lives of my students each day. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making memories together!
