D.A.R.E. "Battle of the Boot"

Each week, the 5th graders at BVES attend D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education).
The D.A.R.E. Mission
“Teaching students good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives”
The D.A.R.E. Vision
“A world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance abuse, and other dangerous behaviors.”

The class that exhibits BVES' School Wide Behavior Expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, win the Boot for the week. Competition is high between the two 5th grade classrooms even the teachers are getting involved.
