National Beta Club member, Joleigh Buras, represented BVES at the National Junior Beta Convention, held June 23-27, 2026, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. BVES Beta Club sponsors, Mrs. Tammy Goodman and Mrs. Pamela Rigaud, and BVES Beta members, Abigail Easley and Avarie Om were in attendance. Joleigh secured 10th place in the junior division visual art color photography category at the national level with her amazing photo, “Banana Spider on Web.”
Previously, Joleigh placed 3rd in the color photography category at the Junior Beta State Convention in Lafayette in February, thereby qualifying to compete at the national level.
The National Beta Club promotes academic achievement, character, leadership, and service among elementary and secondary school students.
