On Thursday, February 5, 2026 Boothville-Venice Elementary School celebrated students who were honored at the Terrific Kids Ceremony, a special event recognizing children who consistently show positive character, kindness, and a commitment to doing their best.
Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, the Terrific Kids program highlights students who demonstrate respect, responsibility, and a caring spirit both in and out of the classroom. Teachers selected honorees for their hard work, perseverance, and positive attitude toward learning.
Families, classmates, staff, district level and supervisors, Tonika Peavy and Seth Shepard, gathered to celebrate each recipient as they were presented with certificates, a shirt, and a yard sign. Smiles, applause, and a true sense of pride filled the room as each child’s efforts were recognized.
The Terrific Kids Ceremony reminds us that success is not only about grades, but also about character and making a difference in the school community. Congratulations to all of our Terrific Kids—Kaiden Bartholomew, Harper Scarabin, Zada Hobby, Journee Pope, Tahiry Reddick, Maliyah McGinnis, Kailey Le, Olivia Henry, Benjamin De La Rosa, Kaden Moreau, Jazlynn Callais, Karsen Lonh, Wyatt Devillier, Lane Williams. You all inspire us every day!
