6th Grade graduation Ceremony

On Wednesday, May 15th, 2025, Boothville-Venice Elementary School proudly held its sixth-grade graduation ceremony in the school gymnasium, celebrating a class of enthusiastic students prepared to take the next step in their academic journey.

Family members, friends, teachers, and community supporters gathered to honor the accomplishments of the Class of 2025. The event began with a warm welcome from Ms. Paula Wilson, who greeted the audience and set the tone for the meaningful celebration that followed.

In a special highlight, Plaquemines Parish Superintendent Dr. Ritz was in attendance, showing her support for the students and school staff. Her presence underscored the importance of the occasion and the district’s commitment to student success.

The program featured the presentation of graduation certificates, heartfelt speeches, and special recognitions. Principal Maria Prout delivered an inspiring address, commending the students for their hard work, determination, and personal growth. Sixth-grade teachers, Ms. Wilson and Mrs. Le’trinda Williams, shared touching reflections on the students’ journey, celebrating their growth, achievements, and unique personalities.

Adding a fun and memorable touch to the ceremony, Ms. Wilson and Mrs. Williams presented student superlatives, recognizing qualities such as “Most Likely to Brighten Your Day,” “Future Leader,” and “Class Clown.” The awards brought plenty of smiles and laughter, and gave each student a chance to be celebrated for what makes them special.

A heartfelt slideshow by Dr. Rachelle Cyprian captured memorable moments from throughout the years, prompting both joy and emotion from those in attendance.

The gymnasium was beautifully decorated in a masquerade theme of black, gold, and red, creating a festive backdrop for the proud graduates and their loved ones. Following the ceremony, students enjoyed refreshments and a dance. They posed for photos with teachers and classmates, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

As these sixth graders prepare to transition to middle school, the entire Boothville-Venice community applauds their accomplishments and wishes them continued success.
