BVES Celebrates Black History Month

Boothville-Venice Elementary School recently celebrated Black History Month with a powerful and educational program, titled “Black History from A-Z, “on Thursday, February 27, 2025. The event, aimed at honoring the achievements, culture, and history of African Americans, brought together students, faculty, and parents in a heartwarming display of unity and respect. The program began with captivating performances by each grade level through song, poetry and dance.

The program was not the only opportunity to learn about history we also celebrated with Black History Spirit Week and a Black History Trivia Contest. Winners were Ms. Sullivan’s 5th grade homeroom, Ms. Wilson’s 6th grade homeroom and Ms. Tiffany’s 4th grade homeroom.

The entire school community has been left with a deeper understanding of the past and strengthened commitment to building a brighter, more inclusive future.
