Boothville Venice Elementary School’s Student Council sponsored a school-wide canned food drive during the month of February. They offered an incentive to the grade levels with the most cans donated - a root beer float party!
The Student Council officers and members set a goal of having 500 cans donated, and they exceeded that! They encouraged their fellow classmates to bring in cans as well as bringing in cans themselves. The school collected 582 cans to donate to a food bank within the community, and the winning grades were 5th grade in first place and 2nd grade in second place!
We are very proud of all of our students for showing kindness and generosity!
