Boothville-Venice Elementary 5th and 6th grade students attended a day at JA BizTown on Tuesday, February 27,2019 . JA BizTown combines in-class learning with a day-long visit to a simulated town. This popular program allows elementary students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. The program helps students connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world. The skills that the students were able to learn from in class activities to a day of JA BizTown consists of but not limited to active listening, applying information, brainstorming, calculation, charting, collaboration, communication (verbal and written), comparing and contrasting, computation, and number of other skills that were learned from trip to JA BizTown.
