A+PEL donates books to Boothville-Venice 4th Grade Class

Associated Professional Educators of Louisiana (A+PEL) whose organization’s goal is to advance A+teachers by focusing on professional development, teacher advocacy, excellence in education, and empowering Louisiana’s youth for future success, recently donated three hundred dollars to the fourth grade classes at Boothville-Venice Elementary School from their school support fund.  The money was used to purchase books for every child in an effort to promote literacy.  Mr. Jeff Southerland, A+PEL New Orleans Regional Director visitedthe school on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 and purchased breakfast for the entire staff.  According to Dr. Keith Courville, A+Pel New Orleans, Executive Director, “We always look out for our educators, especially those in the rural areas.”
