Lagasse Sweet Donates Backpacks

On Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Representatives from Lagasse Sweet and Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office visited Boothville-Venice Elementary to donate 400 backpacks full of supplies for all of the students. Mr. Charlie Burt, lead person for Lagasse, received help from United Stationers, who put the supplies together for the students. Along with Charlies Burt were Diana Saussaye, Monique Crabtree, Donna Bergeron, Brian Crabtree (volunteer), and Dane Smith. April Durnin, Terence WIlliam and Pappy Smith were the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office representatives. Mr. Burt emphasized the importance of a good education to the students who were assembled in the gym. Principal Maria Prout, the faculty, staff and students wish to thank Lagasse Sweet, United Stationers, and the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office for partnering with them this 2012-13 school year.
